The Beer Matters Conference will return in 2026, bringing together brewers, suppliers, and industry leaders from across the country for a full day dedicated to the future of Scotland’s brewing sector.

Taking place on Tuesday 6 October 2026 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central, the conference has become one of the must attend, annual gatherings for Scotland’s brewing community. Focused on business development, knowledge exchange, and networking, the event offers brewers and industry professionals the opportunity to connect, share insights, and explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the sector.

The day-long programme will feature expert speakers, industry panels, and practical sessions designed to support breweries at every stage of their journey — from independent craft producers to established brewing businesses.

The conference will conclude with the Scottish Beer Awards dinner — the celebration of Scotland’s leading national beer competition and a highlight of the brewing calendar.

Now in its 11th year, the Scottish Beer Awards recognise the quality, innovation, and talent that define Scotland’s vibrant brewing industry. Each year, more than 300 beers from around 35 breweries and brewing businesses are entered into the competition, with medals awarded through a rigorous independent judging process.

The evening awards dinner will bring the industry together to celebrate the year’s top beers and breweries, offering a fantastic opportunity for networking and recognition in a relaxed and celebratory setting.
